Wondeful shot Jim, such warm colours made by the early evening sun, you are so lucky to live in such a pretty town. I dont expect you leave very often (I wouldnt) :) Best wishes Jim hope you are well Samantha

It is my favourite time of day Sam for taking photos. The sun(not a lot of it this year)always lights up the old East Side spreading its golden glow.

You read me right, I rarely leave town. My MOT certificates, year in-year out, record less than 2000 miles of motoring. Just as well perhaps, what with the high cost of fuel. Take care Sam

Fantastic seascape Jim !!! Very nice composition and contrast ! best regards from Rome, Luka

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on August 21, 2008

Thanks luca. What you see is the upper harbour. It is accessable by means of a swing bridge that seperates this from the lower harbour. This can easily be seen if you Zoom in the map. The upper harbour provides much more shelter from the damaging North Sea storms that occur frequently here.

Thanks for stopping a while.---Jim

oh, yes, you right Jim

The last page of images, Jim, are all new to me, and I am impressed by the diversity of genre. I appreciate the single topic images such as the net of the dream catcher, the warmth of the lighting in the landscapes, and the complexity of a couple of them that are very well composed. To me it seems that I have been on a weekend visit to Whitby and sat down to revue my pictures. I appreciate such vicarious connection.

I do so much enjoy your feedback and point of view Ian, it stimulates my thought processes in a most constructive way. I had thought for some time of posting a greater diversity of material, it certainly improves the appearance of the page. I must be thankfull for small mercies in having a plethora of subjects that take little effort to capture.

Thanks for your appreciation Ian, it was my pleasure in enjoying your visit.

Cheers.---Jim

Hi Jim, You visited one of my pictures in August and left me a few very useful advices. Thanks, I am still using the tricks you mentioned. I would like to ask you to take a look at my pictures, as I entered a few of them in the “Panoramio Contest”. Here is the link: My Contest Pictures I left this message with this picture, because time to time I return to see your nautical stuff. This one is a gem again. Best wishes from Vancouver, B.C. Canada,

Gabe

Another excellent point of view of this wonderful town Jim, I place it in my favorits of Google, trying to visit in the future if possible.

Best regards!

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on September 13, 2008

You are most welcome Victor, I feel more like the town guide with each passing day. Perhaps I should charge the Authority for all the free publicity. :). I hope one day you get the chance to visit this region, you will not be disappointed.

Many thanks for your visit my friend, I value your friendly comments and appraisal.

Greetings and thankyou for dropping in Elemer, I am encouraged by your kind appraisal.

Late summer sunlight adds a special sweet glow to the old town. It just requires a half decent camera to do the rest.

Cheers---Jim
