This beech Myrtle grows along side the Acheron River. This is a very pleasant drive on a dirt track. The myrtle is a temperate rainforest tree, that normally ends up rotting from the build up of leaf litter at the base. In this case the litter so washed away regularly by the river. This is an Oil painting done on site in 1999. It is 800x1200mm.
