To get to Lake Benaroon it is almost certain that you first visited Lake Boomajin, then later went on to Lake Birrabeen, for the three are on a circuit road from Dili to Eurong. Benaroon doesn't appear to have the tea-coloured water that the larger lakes have. But it has the fine white silica sand.
I can't remember what we saw exactly at Fraser Island Ian. We saw so much that day that my head was spinning. In the analogue period I didn't made so much pictures as I do now.
I do know that I swam through a small stream with very cold water to the beach were the stream ended in the sea. Greetings Berend

Fraser Island is a very special environment.

You swam in Eli Creek, Berend. I am sure you will now find it on GE.
Thanks Ian, I still have a map of Fraser Island and Eli Creek is indicated on it. That made it easy to found the place back. Greetings Berend
