Little chapel on the rocks

The chapel, with its white walls still used today as a landmark for sailors, was built at the beginning of the 17th Centtury as an expression of devotion, to beg Sainte Barbe for protection against the dangers incurred by the boats and sailors from this flourishing harbour.

The "Johnnies" sailing from Roscoff to sell their onions on the other side of the Channel never failed to salute the saint by hoisting their flags 3 times.
