These buildings are an embarrassment to most old-time Columbia locals. They are supposedly replicas of early Columbia buildings. However, neither is accurately placed. Further, they were built as "activity" buildings for state park personnel use, at the expense of letting historic buildings, which could have had the same utility, fall to pieces.
