It is amazing that three of this strange, yet very successful engine has survived at this location. I'm going to try and see how much support there is among UK railfans to have at least one saved from being scrapped. The Bolivian Government has a treasure here - well ok not a pretty jewel, but a very rare one indeed!
There may even be FOUR of these strange engines on this loco dump. The good news is that FCAB has done a fantastic restoration of No. 34 a really chunky 2-8-4 tank of 1927. You can see details on the FCAB website at www.fcab.cl/intro.html I guess FCAB engineers know very well about their Meyers on this dump!
