Wonderful set of portraits, Ian! They give life to your photographic essay. Marilyn

Her joy was spontaneous; her faith profound and her simple lifestyle humbled us all. And her appreciation of our visit was overwhelming. I will never forget that evening's encounter.

Marilyn, sometimes we are privileged to walk into a situation where one's presence opens the door to new relationships. Just as Mark 5 implies that prior to the next Sabbath, there had to be a new encounter between the Overseer of the synagogue and the woman whom his institution had excluded for 12 long years, so it was that day. It was a dignifying day!

Where all this leads, I know not, but the day was sufficient unto itself. Thank you for seeing into the photo essay.

Ian fantastic portrait! well done. Greetings Tom

Hi Tom and Tamás,

It is great to hear from you both especially as you both really appreciate the portrait of this woman who has a remarkable spirit of joy.

She lives alone in her traditional kitchen, accompanied only by a kitten and a couple of small dogs. Her family has dispersed though a daughter lives close by. I was introduced to her by her granddaughter who loves her so dearly.

Warmest regards,

Ian
