Najac n'a été qu'un petit détour sur la route de notre retour. Nous n'y avons fait qu'un passage rapide pour rafraîchir les troupes. Il faisait plus de 35° ce jour là (chose rare cet été!). Mon harem qui avait déjà sué sang et eau pour grimper à Cordes n'a pas voulu voir si le panorama était beau en haut de la forteresse. Petites joueuses! En tout cas le village est joli. The inner part contains the much prized spice mace (red, lace-like structure) which is similar in flavour to the nutmeg spice but milder.

The inner nut is the nutmeg!

Saint Vincent and Grenada (two tiny southern Caribbean islands) are the world's largest suppliers of this fine spice!

Here's a Nutmeg tree in Wallialbou. It's growing at the side of the road, opposite the Wallilabou waterfall.

The area was also used for filming Pirates of the Caribbean.

Wallilabou is truly heavenly!

Le château est magnifique mais je ne l'ai malheureusement pas visité. Après avoir écumé Cordes en plein cagnat, il y a eu de la défection dans mes troupes qui ne voulaient plus grimper.
