thnx again sugar. This view is from a rotating restaurant where my wife and i had our 25th anniversary dinner. The restaurant rotates about once an hour. We were glued to the windows :)
Nice capture, and I suppose the only way to show the length of these trains. I dug out my old maps from when I was in Vancouver (stayed in Burnaby), and I used to walk down to the bridge where Willingdon Ave crosses the railway (and Alaska street), and watch an almost endless stream of these mammoth trains, with all kinds of locomotive liveries. Some would take the north route at the junction, and some would go straight on. Never did really know where....
Maybe I should scan some of the old photos?
Superb view and photo Stacy ;>) Lots to see and think about..I'm glad you mentioned this was taken from a rotating restaurant, I was thinking helicopter from the unlikely position of your viewpoint ;>) There appears to be a location called "Vancouver Look-Out" that would seem to be nearer the mark..
Fabulous shot, Stacy ! GREAT ! My BEst, Juergen
