Thanks again kat. The late afternoon light helps, but as the time went on we were losing more of the shore in the shadow of the cliffs.

Thanks for your kind comments Skida. We had a fairly gloomy overcast week in the lakes with one reasonable day on High Stile which was great and fulfilled a long term ambition for us.

I really like this shot of the Newcastle shoreline with the stranded slab of rock and the great skyscape.

When we went camping at The Lakes in June we had perfect weather: Sunny, with clouds to make the photos look better. It's the only time I've ever had 4 consecutive rain-free days there.

The place where I took the photo above was quite a revelation! I live about 5 miles from it and had never seen this bay! My good lady suggested we visit and I was really pleased with the photo opportunities. Thanks for your comment.
