Thanks kat. The photo was taken at a beach called "Charlie's Garden". I am unable to find out anything about the origin of the name, but the rocky shoreline is quite dramatic.

This is another one of those places I wish I'd known about before I packed up and came over here!

I love the shadows, and the rocks lurking just beneath the water's surface in the foreground. That green promentory is magic!

Very best wishes, sue

I had never been to this beach before Linda suggested it and I am glad we went. The rock formations were great.

When did you leave the UK and did you live in Peterborough? (I think I remember a London Brick Company factory there.)

I could really take a whole day, poking around on that beach - it looks a fascinating place! I left in December 1990, but was back and forward for a couple of years and finally came out here for good in December 1992. I haven't been home since!

My office was at the Stewartby London Brick factory, but we used to take a tin of biccies up to the Peterborough office at Christmas time. A lot of the bricks were named after places up there. I think their bricks have gone out of favour though, as the clay has too much carbon in. It was good at the time, as we hardly had to add any coke to fire them, but now in times of climate change.....that's the end of that!

Well, a lot of water under the bridge since those days, thank goodness,

Very best wishes to you, Sue
