Lovely! I couldn't tell what it was on the thumbnail so it's such a lovely surprise to see this cool and shady pond. The gardens are very lush up that way, aren't they? Are you getting the effects of the gulf stream back yet?

Very nicely framed up again, I am so enjoying these!

Cheers, Sue

It is a water fall, running down an incline over stratified layers of rock, all these pictures were taken by my good mate S. McDougal, with his new camera, while I spent a weekend with his family in their motorhome. I had presented him with the camera as a birthday gift. I think heis a natural, but we are both painters you know, he is better tha n me-but you can see that!

Susan @llen, on August 25, 2008, said:

Well, it is very blooming lovely, regardless of who took it. As to who is better than the other, I would definitely say he is a natural, but I wouldn't say that one person is better than the next, rather that it depends on what is available to include in a photo at any given time. I mean, how would I like to be in London, as far as photo taking goes, or Sydney, or the Blue mountains, or the beach. But, you and I make the most of where we are. I must admit, I do like the country side, as a rule, rather than cityscapes, but that's not to say that you have taken many a good shot yourself! Anyway, your character tends to come out in your photos, and lets face it, on our level, (rather than the great masters, at the top of the photographical Panoramio heap), that's half of what we're aiming for, isn't it? I like your photos, anyway, you sorry old thing, so I can tell you I like them if I want to! Alright!?

So there!

Cheers, m' dear, Sue x

Yeah, Thanks Paula, we had a £ night stop over at Loch Ken, it's a scenic beauty in Dumfries and Galloway. The whole weekend was lovely, we discovered som great places to visit again later.

This was in a smaal town called New Galloway, it's part of the Old Smithy Tea Rooms, and it is pure heaven, or fairy grotto if you prefer. The coffe was good too!

It is so good of you to call in to this page, the pictures were taken by Stuart, my mate who I went on the weekend break with (And his family too) in their motorhome.

Thankyou for your kind comments Paula My best regards, Mike

When we arrived at 'The Smithy@ i had to dash for the dunny, but said to Stuart, "Can I use your pictures, if you take any, mate?"

( we often exchange photos when we're oot painting) "Whaye-aye" came the reply.

( _he never knew I was urging him on to use his new camera!!-you see, I am a clever old sod!)

I hope that clears up a point or six, Ladies. hee hee hee!

Of course, I am not daft! I saved them all and put them through a post-edit thingy, but just to crop & straighten, nowt else!

Cheers Sue & Paula I may catch up later, following my lie down
