The table is set when the tide comes in. Crabs, cockles, scallops, and razor clams are harvested in the unpolluted waters of Towhill Beach.

Dungeness Crab starting July, cockles, scallops after big stormy tides. Razor clams 10 months. You've got to be fast to catch them once you make your dig. The Haida natives use special narrow clam shovels to go after these delicacies, they take off vertical towards China. Seen some tourists using snow shovels. Can you imagine, in the middle of summer? They went hungry. Does that explain it, dear diannemcd? Archievideo
