People should be better educated about this site. It is one of my favorite entry points to the A.T. I love the falls and cliffs. It has very interesting folklore. Some say that Confederate gold/silver was stashed under the falls.
I believe it should be open as a swimming hole of some sort, or swimming should be open further down the river.
But please use common sense at waterfalls; don't jump or swim under the falls.

Jason Schafhauser is the Daredevil from Winston-Salem, NC. He is attending Lees McRae College in Banner Elk, NC.

i jumped there today
