This whole photo was "an extra" for me. My husband and I were returning from a restaurant where we had celebrated our wedding anniversary (#42). When we started back, there was a band of clouds obscuring the sun, but about halfway home, the sun got beneath it and we came to a village with a lovely waterside park. So we stopped. Did we sit romantically on a bench to watch the sunset? No!! I clicked away, hoping to get one good shot, and here is the best of the lot.

It was a very beautiful evening, but I've realized something else: digital photography lets you continue to enjoy a scene that you really can't look at very long while you're there ... because you'll go blind from the sun it you try!!
