Das Bild zeigt das Epizentrum des Erdbebens in San Francisco 1906 auf Point Reyes, aufgenommen direkt auf dem San Andreas Graben, der durch das Bild führt. Der Zaun wurde beim Beben um 8 Meter auseinander geschoben. Die linke Hälfte des Zauns wanderte in einigen Stunden mit der gesamten Halbinsel Point Reyes um 8 Meter nach Nordosten. Point Reyes bewegt sich geologisch weiter vom Festland weg.
