Not to be confused with the old St. Marys church which stands atop a hill to the north of the village. Following a plague in 1848 the village moved down the hill and the new church was built. The old church was abandoned in 1950 and many ghostly stories abound concerning it. I shall delve further into it when I photograph it!!!
