These wooden standing Buddha statues are donated as offering during festivals. They aren’t made to last long because the temple has no place to keep all of them forever. Notice that the conical hair spike had dropped off. Crack lines revealed thru’ weather conditioning. Once damaged, they are chuck among the firewood near the kitchen or certain parts may end up in antique shop. These 2 have the typical rounded chin and beautiful ears of the Lanna style. Sometime you do find small offering Buddha images placed under the tree or scared places. Wat Xiang Thong in Luang Prabang, Laos.
