Some explanations: Due to the limitation of 5 MB size I had to downsize the picture very much and save it in a low quality.
The picture I uploaded is 40 Megapixel - nevertheless it is just a very, very small and downsized crop of my Panorama. The original size of the panorama I made is - believe it or not - more than 500 times as big: all in all more than 20'000 Megapixel (20 Gigapixel).
All in all I made more than 5000 fotos with the EOS 5D (each one 12,8 MP). Worldwide there is no program which can handle this amount of data and stitch it automatically together. So I stiched each picture manually to the panorama. I did this in Adobe Photoshop CS2.
I spent more than 700 hours in stitching it manually together. But unfortunately it ist not finished yet and there are still some bugs in the panorama I have to fix.
Incredible. The detail is wonderful, and well worth the effort put in. Makes you feel as if you're sitting at the table with the person in the lower right.

Hi, schönes Foto - aber hast Du keine anderen Hobbies? 700 Stunden und immer noch nicht fertig - ich hätte es dann irgendwann drangegeben. ;-))
