Tiny White Island in the NH portion of the Isles of Shoals was the childhood home of poet Celia Thaxter, and today is the location for a project to restore nesting grounds of several species of state endangered terns. When the project started in 1997, 6 pair of terns nested on the island. Today in mid-summer, the air is filled with over a thousand of the beautiful birds. More information can be found at the NH Audubon Society website (www.nhaudubon.org), and Plum Island Kayak in Newburyport, MA leads several kayak trips out to the island group every summer.

LOL, yeah, he was quite relieved!

Yeah, when kayaking if you get to hot you should jump into the water to relieve yourself.

;D

hey - did you notice the view count you must have hit on this?

Nope, missed it, you notice the count on the one beside it?

Oh - I thought I replied on that one. It'll be the next task!

You must have hit 1111 on this shot. Perhaps the number of Terns that day! And it just occurred to me why you visited this shot: Seeing how to expertly photograph flying birds, ha-ha!
