These are the former "BOB-LO" boats, "Columbia and St. Clair". Most Detroit Area Baby Boomers spent many happy hours on these boats cruising up and down the Detriot River.. between the "Foot of Woodward Avenue" to the wonderful Canadian Amusement Park called BOB-LO, just across from Amherstberg, Ontario. It's actually "Boise Blanc" Island on the charts (if I spelled it correctly) (a similarly named island, exists near Mackinaw Island, in upper Lake Huron.)
But, these memories of days gone by... seem to be aging as fast as the rest of us "boomers".
The yacht "Dauphine" is in a nearby drydock, at least that is what I've been told. And it is owned by the "Dodge" family.??
