Welcome back, Ian, and thank you for continuing our cultural education. You've certainly captured the atmosphere as well as the architecture here, as well as educating us about customs. Marilyn

Thank you for the welcome home, Marilyn. I really appreciate your grace and your continuing friendship. I have had an exhilarating time, though I am truly worn out, and having had to spend so much time in the ocean in a canoe and in between my ocean trips been in the rain every day, i have come home with a chest infection that leaves me very weary. I'll recover. But the joy of sharing with my graduates in the field making breakthrough reconciliations and creating Peace & Good Order Committees in many villages along the Weather Coast of Guadalcanal is simply the highest privilege. Truly.

There will be some more wonderful uploads from there soon.

It sounds like a wonderful and productive trip--a little too productive in one respect! Take care of yourself, Ian ... but do get at those uploads when you can! I'm looking forward to them.

Tomorrow we start back to Canada--a circuitous route because of the shower for our grandchild-to-be in Ottawa before we head to our own home. Farewell to the beauties of our part of Wisconsin.

Dear Marilyn,

I expect to start uploading some Solomon Islands images here next week. It really was a very rewarding trip, and as a bonus, I have come back with some excellent pics with which I am delighted. I look forward to sharing them with you.

As for your long trip home, the circuitous route sounds like just the thing I am looking forward to when I retire. May there be many excuses for you both to continue finding the long way home.

I should be able to explore all your latest Door County images very soon.

With love and best wishes,

ian
