I wrote a poem called A Road Returned

A Road Returned

In forest dark or prairie free of such signs aware Forsaken men will follow secret meanings there. Some despair accursed of this eternal exile state But endless going’s home to them of sense bereft.

The greatest memories will always take a journey To the outlands of the mind, but genial men prefer To wander lonely paths in sacred wisdom’s grove Remembering things to be, not just long lost past.

What yesterday promised may be today fulfilled Or be each day uncertain if tomorrow’s far away. But take this given day just as it were the only way God knows a road returned never leads us home.

I wanted to ask if I could use a thumbnail of your picture alongside my poem on my blog. I wanted to use the thumbnail to emphasis the light coming from beyond, and deemphasize the dog. It would be an amazing picture to go with my poem.

Oh by the way I love dogs. I have two german shepherds. I wrote a poem about my dog and most people thought it was too sentimental. Yes we are too sentimental about our dogs to write poetry about them.
