Thank you very much photodegraff, bainketa, Marcello Mento, Brian W. Schaller, Nick knack, © elvio fontana, maria patrizia, loranto, MHiller, and o_joanna for your kind comments and support.
I am very pleased all of you like this shot. It was by chance in July when I took this picture during a scale at SFO. I was wandering at the huge Terminal building and suddently I watched this corridor backligthed, with people rushing from the elevator to the checking area. I took several shots and this was among them.
By the way, what an impressive New SFO Airport Terminal!. It deserves a visit. It is a masterpiece of airport arquitecture. Soon I will upload more pictures of it.

Hola 4ullas està molt bé aquesta entrada. M'encanta el joc de siluetes i reflexos al terra. Salut i bona sort !! eric.
Perfect composition and very beautiful B&W photo 4ullas ! Congratulations and there is a vote certainly for you already :-) My best regards from Hungary, Tamás
Superbly slick, as oil, in black and white! Wonderful, and the ripples on the polished floor are amazing, as is the lady with the bags and hat! What a fortunate subject, to be passing along the corridor, she oozes style, and really adds to the shot.)D
Very best wishes to you,
I have to go now, my visit has been cut short, but I do hope to continue browsing another time..
Thanks a lot Tamas for your comment and your vote. In fact I am very proud of this shot, that I took unexpectedly during a long and boring Airport scale among two flights. Nevertheless, busy Airports are allways a good scenarios for good shots. Best regards from 4Ullas
I am happy to see this shot again 4ullas! I've admired it before but did not leave a comment. I like that you have left the dark areas on each side -- a lesser mortal would have cropped closer, but this is better!
Just a correction on Nawitka's comment. A lesser mortal as you put it would have realized that this picture has been cropped, but it doesn't detract from it - it's still a great classic picture.
Many thanks Nawitka and Nick knack for your attention and for your valuable comments. As far as I udrstood Nawitka comment, any other would have cropped closer taking out the black sides of the shots. If you look at an ealier comment (6th Septembr 2008) from Samo T. suggested to cut the darker parts in order to make central the woman shape .
I did not follow his/er suggestions (read my answer of the ame day). I just made darker the shades and framed slightly with picasa2. That is all I edited.
Best regards from 4Ullas
Beautiful shot. Thank you 4ullas for your comment, and greetings from Italy.
ciao 4ullas, uno splendido controluce! le dimensioni ridotte lasciano il mistero: un arrivo, o partenza? ciao dall'Italia, enzo
buon 2008 November NPC

That kind of composition where we have to follow the light....i love it:)
My compliments and good luck in NPC! Greetings,Linda
Graphic and and simple , like it . Voted
Beautiful Shot ! Simple but beautiful ! Good luck for the contest
HDR and sunsets give often great shots, and BW too! In a few seconds Lauren Bacal is going to put her bags down and have a long kiss with Humphrey Bogart.
You entered a lovely photo in the competition kind 4ullas, I like it a lot, but I made my choice on other criteria. So, instead you'll get a well deserved star!
4ullas as I mentioned before I really like this photo. On Sunday, I saw a similar situation and I immediately remembered your shot and I remembered to include the large dark borders when I snapped the shutter. So thank you! Here is the result, which I hope you will enjoy. Very best greetings to you -- Nawitka.
