JAZZ, thank you so much for your long visit in my gallery! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and hope you will come back again! I know I'll be back over in yours soon too. Your yellow tree is so lovely, congratulations on the big number of views!

Until we meet again,

It´s not very often that one can see such a good pic of a hummingbird. Congratulations on your skill...and patience

Florencio Podesta, thank you so much! That is so nice to hear, or read!

jazz, you and I are getting to be good buddies! I also shoot the easy ones, I'm not a hard worker at photography and do it for fun only! But I like watching birds so I waiting for them is very easy. This one came to the feeder then when he rests, he chooses the same twigs each time. I picked out one of his favorite perches and waited. He puts on a good show even when he is not at rest. I miss them now in these cold days, they go South for the winter! Are they there?

Amazing!! When I see hummingbirds I always recall "Generation X" by Douglas Coupland. After all I've got blue eyes. Y* is least I can do. Greetings from Poland, Lukas

Your bird photos are very beautiful!

Jean Gregory Evans on January 9, 2009

Lukas, thank you so much for that very nice compliment. You have made me curious about that book and it seems that I have missed a (new) classic! I will have to peak inside it now.

elemér, thank you so much for visit to my gallery and the compliment. I am so glad that you like my birds. As you might have guessed, I love all animals.

Happy New Year!

Splendid photo here, the bird allmost stoped on air,

Jean Gregory Evans on November 27, 2009

Conquilha, you are right! He DID stop on air to look at me. At the time, I didn't realize he was not yet an adult. He was giving me the once over then was on his way. It was a great moment for me... and I am sure I was more thrilled than he was.

Excellent photo of an amazing little bird. It was suggested to me to shot them with a flash and it seems to work real well. Haven't looked though all of your photos yet, what I have looked at are excellent. Greeting Hal, Los Angeles

Hal Janzen, Jethrohoyt suggested that too. Thank you for leaving a nice comment and that lovely compliment too. Howdy to you out in LA from the mountains of North Carolina.
