This beautiful lake is located along the well-known Alaska Highway, about 245km west of For Nelson. When I was there, it was late fall and the mountains that surround the lake were snow-dusted. The range in the picture is called the Terminal Range, which is an apt name because the range is literally the northern limit of the Rockies.
Wow that is an amazing story you a lucky person to see that! Most people don't see that type of stuff usually! I wish that I was lucky enough to see that kind of stuff!
The colour of the water is an incredible blue.On the lake is a very fine modern hotel built of logs which blends with the scenery perfectly. It uses a Twin Otter plane as the "hotel limousine" flying guests in from Vancouver. Unfortunately it crashed on takke off at Muncho lake in August 2007.
