What a place, looks so peaceful, beautiful shot. Regards David. :)

Thank you Samo T and David, your comments are always greatly appreciated.

This hotel and it's grounds are next to Cong where they filmed 'The Quiet Man' movie and it was a joy to walk through. They had a falconary course going on and guess who was 'shooting' donkeys while my friends were enjoying a spectacular show further up the track :-)

Very best regards,

I would not know what to do in such a place. I would, however, love to run through that magnificent fountain out in the front! It looks most inviting, especially on a hot summer's day.

You are so lucky to have all these truly wonderful castles so near by. We have nothing that even comes close over this way.

It is such a joy getting to see them all through your eyes. Thank you for sharing your world, Sean.

Warm regards,

Mary Alice

This is now one of the premier hotels in the West of Ireland Mary Alice and is well worth it's tag. I'm not sure about running through the fountain though, it looked quite deep :~)

I would agree about being lucky and I am pleased to be able to showcase our beautiful island on Panoramio.

MaryAlice on September 9, 2008

My dearest Sean,

You wouldn't be suggesting that I might drown in the fountain now, would you? ;)

You are showcasing your beautiful island magnificently! I know it must be extremely proud. =)

Very best regards to you this evening,

Mary Alice

Well.....I have it from a very reliable source that our MMA never learnt to swim and you can't take chances where deep water is concerned :~)

Greets Sean, its good to see your latest exhibits, not having been here recently.

I can see many superb photos that I shall visit in the fullness of time.

This spectacular Castle at the village of Cong must be one of the most impressive hotels in all of Europe, let alone the emerald isle. Your photo certainly does this chunk of medieval architecture justice. It is an excellent shot Sean..

Kind regards.---Jim

Isn't Cong a wonderful place name :-) it's where they filmed the 'Quiet Man' and there are lots of places to see where the action took place...great!!

This is only about half the hotel Jim, I was torn between taking photos or watching superb trout jumping in the lough just behind me - the trout won ;-)

Best Regards,
