The grandiose monument (only around Lake Como by type and architectural plant outside of the garden) still dominates with its imposing ruins of the village and leaves Sorico read still in its original volumes, the environment and decorations of the past.
The building (so called always by Sorichesi) was built by Abbot John Giulini, uncle of historian Giorgio Giulini, between the end of the seventeenth century and the beginning of the seventeenth century in a sober baroque Lombardo The building was fitted with gardens made up of seven steps to embankments, connected to one another by some arches used as nurseries where they were bred different species of fish (they do not remain a wall at one of the houses built nearby Villa Giulini).
