Een mooi plaatje! Mooi in kaart gebracht. Hoe kom je op het idee? (toch niet zelf aangestoken?). Nee, echt goed gedaan. Gr, Ed.

Wow! Great photo! They used to burn off the gardens here in North Carolina, USA when I was growing up but mostly people no longer do that. There are fewer and fewer farms and even fewer small gardens. It is hard work when the fires get away and get out of control. Farmers work so very hard, don't they?

Congratulations, Jean

Groet, Frank.

Frank Knaap on September 14, 2008

(Jean see my replay on your site "Parasol-Sept 13) The GEarth message I got much later.

Cheers, Frank.

Greetings Frank, I could not tell from the thumb what the subject of the photo was. Opening is a real treat. Very nice contrast on the flame to the green. Very pretty.

Cheers,

Rich

Frank Knaap on September 15, 2008

Thanks for the nice words Rich, but my balcony was black! :-((

Cheers, Frank.

Keno Kawabata on September 16, 2008

The farmers do the same thing in Japan. Interesting to see it. :) Greetings from Japan. Keno

Jean Gregory Evans on September 16, 2008

:-)

Frank Knaap on September 16, 2008

Surprising Keno, it seems to me so primitive! Aren't there better methods, than burning?

-) Frank Thailand.

Frank Knaap on September 16, 2008

Understood! Jean* :-) Likewise - Frank.

Keno Kawabata on September 16, 2008

No clue, but it's better than they use chemical materials to cultivate the soils or to kill pests.

Frank Knaap on September 16, 2008

I totally agree **Keno, maybe this is the quick way of composting. But they still use that chamical stuff, to become 3 harvests, instead of 2.
