This house belonged to the Skeritte's, who were traders in tea all over the world. Mr. Skeritte drank all his fortunes away and the house was abandoned in 1929. The many trees around the house were cut down to sell as timber, when money became tight. I have a pictures of the house in all it's past glory. This info. comes to me from my mother-in-law who has lived across the street from this house for most of her life.
