Hello Luca, You have a very nice & impressive gallery. I see there are a lot of campaniles. They said campaniles speaks about the financial status of the family in the place or city. Is this right? Best regards, Francine

Luca Rigato on March 6, 2010

Hi Francine, more than campaniles, the towers speaks about the financial status of a family.

Yes thank you Luca the taller the tower the more affluent the family is. okey thanks a lot. I am a teacher in culture and arts.. this information can help me too. Best regards, Francine

Happy to help you Francine. In Italy there's a city in tuscany called San Giminiano, which is full of towers because everyone wanted to build a tower taller than the others!!
