King's Highway - Wadi I Mujib Canyon
This photo is selected for Google Earth [?] - ID: 1405887
Jordan's King's Highway winds its way from Madaba near Mt. Nebo, plunges 600 meters into Jordan's miniature Grand Canyon, the Wadi Mujib (the Arnon of the Bible), skirts a few Crusader's Castle and ends near the red rose city of Petra, entirely carved out of stone.
Panorama stitched from five scanned 28mm slides.

This is a great picture, but I believe it's not located in the right place. The wadi just to the south of the point on GE is the Zirqa Ma
in, not the Wadi Mujib. Also, the road nearby is not the King's Highway but the road from Main down to the hot springs. The King's Highway is further to the east, running between Madaba and Dhiban, then across the Wadi Mujib proper, and up onto the Kerak Plateau.Translate
