Well, it IS the Wadi Mujib reservoir, but you're right, the location was wrong. Google Earth had a map update of this area. Now it is more clearly visible where to put the images, although currently (June 2007) the Digital Globe data shows an empty reservoir.

Your proposed location is right beside the dam that is not visible in this picture (just outside the left edge). The current marker depicts the photographer's standpoint at one of the serpentines where you drive out of the valley to the south.
Terhaal, what a shame, you are from madaba which is not far from the dam, this is the dam of mujeb, the photo is taken from the road ascending to Kerak, so this is definately mujib reservoir as you call it, or dam as i call it.
