Magnificent, Yan! Is it a new photo or from archive? It seems to me that I missed a lot of interesting!

Greetings from Kiev. Eva

I was enthralled, Eva, as we flew over Greenland, Baffin and then Hudson Bay. I keep revisiting these images, and am very happy when I actually pinpoint the image on GE.

This flight was taken in 2005, LondonHeathrow to SanFrancisco. It is a Great Circle route north over UK, to southern Iceland, across Greenland and Hudson Bay, over Churchill, then above the western Prairies over Lethbridge Alberta to SFO.

It was a whole route daylight flight and I watched every bit of it from my window.

A flight never to be forgotten.

Greetings to Kiev from Parramatta!

Must've been a real pain in the neck trying to locate these photos... What did you do, just browse around the coast? :)

Hi Andy,

You ask a very good question! I paid particular attention to the route map that appeared on the screen in the aircraft, so I knew where we were. And geographers have good "where memories". :))

But yes, I did browse but because I knew about where we were it wasn't for very long. It was a real sense of satisfaction to see the same landscape appear in GE!

I appreciate your interest.

PS: Andy,

I have one taken over the interior of Baffin Island that I have not succeeded in locating. The change of seasons is just too great for me to correlate my image and GE.
