On March 12 1961 Lee orders rifle from ad for Klein's Sporting Goods in American Rifleman, and in March 1963 he moves to 214 West Neely Street where he receives delivery of both the pistol and rifle. In April 1963 Oswald’s wife takes a photograph of him in his black “hunter of fascists” outfit, whilst he sports his rifle.

On April 10 1963, Oswald makes an assassination attempt on the life of General Walker, an anti-Communist army leader.
