Yeah Sue, the following day I took my camera alright and fishing quietly away, rod in hand, when one came up so close to the boat I could have stepped on its back. Frozen with total surprise and shocked at its close proximity deafened by the sudden expellation of air from its vent, the last thought I had was to grab my camera. Awsome!!! We also have Humpbacks here Sue, but I have'nt been fortunate to see one--yet.

Greetings and welcome Antonio, your words of praise are very much appreciated--thankyou.

Cheers --Jim

I can't believe I have only been to Whitby twice in my life! Both times I was on a ride out from a bike rally. It is such a beautiful place and you have captured it so well.

Keith.

Well skida, I can't say that I've been to Whitely Bay more than twice, having said that, you wouldn't want to visit the 'Spanish City' more than once ;>}}

Thanks for dropping in skida!!

Hi Jim

Here is another scan from film back in 1989 and similar to your shot.

And a further one here

I wonder if the boats are still in use?

Jim what can say, but, Excellent Excellent Excellent. A magnificent shot. If they have Shows where you live, I think shot could be worth considering to enter a local contest. Its very very good Jim. I think its great Jim. and another one for my favorites. Y*. Just a wonderful shot and the title is perfect too. Well Done Jim. Do you print some of these out for your own walls at home? Good quality printers have come right down in price here in Australia now. I print some out for our walls and sell some as well when I can etc. Kindest REgards, from, David

Plastic Gargoyle~~Greetings Si ;>) Having just returned from another planet, I see it is time to catch up with my mail..I'm ok bud, nothing that cant be put right ;>)

BritPlom~~~Greetings Francois, the swing bridge which was constructed more than 100 years ago can be seen OPENING HERE

hlegallais~~~You are most welcome hervé, Thanks for your nice comment ;>)

sugarbag1~~~~I'm most flattered by your kind and thoughtful words David..My kids tell me that I should sell my photos..Perhaps I should give it a try..As for printers, you are right, A good one are quite cheap these days..I use an Epson Stylus Photo R300 which produces very good A4 prints and is economical with ink.....Photos of my town are commonplace David, and many shops here already sell very good photos. My walls have a few oil paintings hanging which I have done over the years..I have a passion for painting but spend too much time on the computer. Thank you so much for the feedback David, it is always a pleasure to receive your mail ;>)

Many thanks for taking the time to stop by guys

Jim
