Here's a little explanation of the oyster farm. Believe it or not, apparently they bring the cages inside during the winter, but even more unexpectedly: In the fall when they are ready to harvest, they take the oysters out of the cages and scatter them around for people to collect! Sounds like an Easter Egg Hunt for adults!

I find these cages more than a little disturbing. Is is really necessary to be quite so obsessive-possessive? I supposed it does keep the five fingered poachers out ... I mean starfish of course!
