Thank you Liviu. It seems to me that the building has been kissed by the sun, and the city embraced in its warmth.

In friendship,

Ian

In Kiev, I imagine that it is the golden cupolas on your magnificent St Michael's Monastery or of St Sophia's that are kissed by the sun every sunny day, and in winter it is a hot coffee or a mulled wine that is embraced by the hands of a local sheltering from the icy wind blowing up Andriivsky Descent.

And sure I would be most happy to be there in either season.

And then again, I remember that it is on the Bridge of Lovers that locks many young lovers into embraces and kisses, as they tie their ribbons. Ah, this is Kiev!

Your Aussie friend,

Yan

You have a very romantic soul and warm heart, my friend. This means that Kiev - is your city, Yan! We are waiting for you and your poetry.

Yours sincerely, Eva from Kiev

I have winked at it...

Dear friends in Ukraine and Russia,

O how much I would like to come, dear Eva, and not just to share poetry but to hear the stories of your wonderful family history, to walk the Descent, to sit and drink coffee, to explore quietly your summer garden, the churches, the parks and to walk on the bridges. And to stand on your balcony and listen for night music that comes floating across the Dnepr! And that music will touch your heart, too.

And dear Bulbas, the sun winked back indicating that come this summer, it will shine upon the Rostov marshes.

Warmest greetings to you both,

Yan / Ian

In Rostov on Don bogs are not present, here it is a lot of rivers and lakes and many of them still wild. Thanks for forecast Ian for the summer!!! ^)
