well, steve, they'd be in shock here - this shot is nothing compared to the rest of the beach! They're mostly only Slipper Shells, but there are actually piles of the shells at least a foot deep along parts of it. I'm about to post a shot that just looking at the beach for you. (though there are an awful lot of the cast-off horseshoe crab molts, too - we'd thought they were dying off, until looking them up on the web and finding that they were the shells they shed as the get bigger.)
