as a mushroom I've never seen!

Jean Gregory Evans on September 20, 2008

rokapi2008,

Yes!

I was so amazed to see this! I have seen many mushrooms that look like they have a shock of hair, but not look like they have just stepped out of a beauty shop with a fantastic bit of curl at the end of each strand. It was amazing to see! If I hadn't been looking for mushrooms, I probably wouldn't have had the camera with me for this one! This is the most wierd of all the mushrooms photos, such an oddity!

Thank you for your many kind comments!

Jean

Amazing and beautiful! Thanks for expanding our horizons! Greetings from Canada, Marilyn

Paula, I agree, I could hardly believe my eyes when I found it!

Marilyn, How could I hide such an amazing scene?

Wow! great capture Jgevans, conguratulations. Do you happen to have another shot of this amazing mushroom with slight horizontal offset? Perhaps if 3D version can be done it would be much more remarkable experience to see. Best wishes from Chicago, Volkan

Jean Gregory Evans on September 24, 2008

Volkan, no I don't. I have noticed other 3D and wondered how they did that! I didn't realize it was slightly offset. Thanks, I will have to try it! Not on this but something else. I passed by where this mushroom was today and it is all melted into the ground with only a bit of black residue to see. It is the only one I have seen like this so...

Hey, I have been to Chicago, love Chicago!

Hi Jean :) it's OK. May be next time when you have such remarkable subject to photograph, take a few extra with horizontal shift. Sooner or later, one way or another, you can see your own pictures in 3D. Or in the worst case, "we" can see your great nature shots in 3D ;D

Yes, Chicago is very spectacular city. If you'd be interested, my Chicago pictures in another website are ranking #1 in it's category (at least for now)

Best wishes to NC, Volkan

Ha ha ha, looks like Cousin Itt from the Addams Family! Fabulous shots Jean, you must be having such fun with these. Cheers M

Jean Gregory Evans on September 25, 2008

Volkan, I will have to study this and see if I can do it. I have seen several galleries with 3D images. Hans Klaus 3D photo. This one is one that I can recall off the top of my head. Thanks and I will try to participate!

Vladimir, thank you. I thought it very odd when I saw it and have not seen anything like it again. It may be very rare, I don't know.

Wow!

I like very much to go in the forest and pick mushrooms, so I saw many species, but I never saw one of this!

Amazing!
