Jethro, I've been studying this photo, and I can't decide if the blue mist in the valley is water, in which case, it might be that lake, or if the lake is too far away, and it's blue because the valley floor is a long way down. Can you put me out of my misery please?
When I first looked at the map, I thought this was going to be awfully remote, but you have a little community hidden away around you, don't you, which is just the nice mix.
I was so surprised to see the farmland just out of the map picture too, it's like around here, where there's so much variety in the landscape between here and the coast. I think we're both lucky to have our hidy holes.
Very best wishes to you, Jethro, and thanks for the link to the view from your door!
I was just wondering what on earth those strange marks in the forest are, on the other side of the lake. It looks like a giant has chucked their banana peel down, but it's a golf course! Now that, I didn't expect to see!
Banana peel? Giants? Now don't go getting the wrong impression about me Sue.
I own two sets of golf clubs, one made from 2nd hard clubs and one given to me to save a guy from throwing them away.
If my life depended on me playing golf, I me a gonner. I'd much rather be out with a camera and a map somewhere.
This last weekend, I turned around and took a few pictures of the 'house' that when stitched together look something like this.
You will be pleased to know that the winter might be ended so you will not hear me whine and whinge for a while!
Until it gets too hot that is.
