The tower is named 'Donjon' and was a temporarely replica of the original which stood on the exact same spot for many centuries. This replica was build becouse of the festivities around Nijmegen's 2000 year anniversary. They're still talking about building a new, but now permanent Donjon. I do hope they will, it was a marvellous sight.
