A view of Dover Harbour from the beach showing one of the cross-channel ferries on its way to France. Taken on March 17th 2007 at low tide (high tide mark can be seen on the pole topped by the red 'lampshade').
The ferry is passing in front of the eastern arm pier and will exit the harbour via the gap between the eastern arm and the breakwater.
At the other end of the breakwater there is a similar gap on the other side of which is the Admiralty Pier.

This groyne is the one nearest to the camera in the Dover Castle and the Beach from the Prince of Wales Pier photo (although the tide's a bit higher!).
