Yes Michel, Antonius Pius had been choosen by Hadrian as well as his successor on the throne: Marcus Aurelius. 70 years of stability and prosperity for the roman empire before it strated to fall under Commodus (great films have been made on that subject).
This is the reason why I was very anxious to visit his large and wealthy domain in Tivoli: Villa Adriana (you can see photos of it in my gallery).
