This is the first of 15 life-size 1" thick steel sculptures called "Grandfather Cuts Loose the Ponies" located on a bluff near Vantage, Washington, just off eastbound Interstate 90. After scrambling up a steep powdery trail, being tossed about by the wind, getting low on the ground with a wide-angle zoom lens (12-24), and under-exposing by 2 stops, this shot was taken with a handheld Canon 10D set at ISO 400.
