Purple Jacaranda and rotunda at Gympie Memorial Park
Sue, this is a delightful photo. You are having spring now, it is so nice to see spring flowers as we head into rain and winter up here. I love the jacaranda, I've only ever heard of them in exotic Australian books, like A Town Like Alice. I think the veranda made me think of that!
Thank you so much, Nawitka, I mostly like Australian native trees, but one tree I do have time for that's not a native is the Jacaranda. I don't think there is a more stunning tree against a stormy grey sky. That photo I have yet to get though, as I missed my chance the last time I saw them against a dark sky. You live and learn, don't you?!
Sue, this one is lovely! I am not familiar with this tree. It is spectacular! I can see how you could easily fall in love with it!
I'm off to bed now. In seveny minutes it will be the witching hour! (October and Halloween... do you have Halloween there? It is getting to be a big holiday here.)
OH, how strange, I thought our Halloween was at the end of october! I must have missed it then, so it's not as big here as it is there! Mind you, your American tradition of trick or treating has spread to both the UK and Australia!
Catch you later, Jean, I just looked in when I wasn't supposed to be, as I've just had visitors (well, the kids are still here, but they are playing with my crowd,) and now I have to do the blinking washing again. Yuck. I thought I'd get some 'panoramioing therapy in first! Lovely to hear from you again, Jean, have a lovely beauty sleep!
You originally missed this one, Jazz,as it wasn't tagged along with the others. It's an old scanned shot from about 14 years ago, the same Jacaranda tree and again here
I do believe the top has grown up quite a bit, don't you?
My eyes are shutting here, so I'm off to bed, I just fell asleep, but my finger clicked on the mouse and woke me up! How pathetic....
Very best wishes to you, I'm catching up with all your links tomorrow, without fail!!
