Dropping down westwards from Morridge, the moors are dark and forbidding. Around you, the rock outcrops which are such a notable feature of the area cast dramatic shadows and give the landscape an eerie atmosphere. Here on a warm day the road is a pleasure to cycle with the sun on your back, but one can only imagine what this area must be like in winter.
