Samara was the "back-up" capital of Russia during the Second World War (although it was known as Kuybychev at the time).

Stalin had his office copied exactly, and it was built in an underground bunker 41 meters deep in the Earth. In addition, it also featured a command center, of which this massive table is the centerpiece.

An interesting place to visit in a cool city.
