LOL, sort of! Its to catch unskilled canoers :) the dam is just off camera on the left. (that angled white tree is in the shot with the dam, too.) They rent canoes here - but thanks to the lousy weather, it was closed and there wasn't another soul around.

Thanks, zoe - it sure was. But now his week-end's close to full color, pretty warm, and clear blue skies, so I have a feeling it will seem more like being on the freeway here!

Thanks Sandy - yeah, this stretch has a lot of canoe traffic - it's right at the canoe rental place. But its such a nice stretch of river, its worth it!
