Beautiful colours and reflections, are they raindrops or did some one through stones into water. Dianne

thanks, guy and dianne - the ripples are from drops falling from the trees overhanging the water.this is from the same place as that line-up of trees posted a few shots to the right.

Linebrook, hmm. Here is the 'brook'? I see evidence that there is water falling off a shaken tree, or there are many fish coming to the surface all at once. Must have been a great outing. Looks like a cool place to spend time.

The colors are really getting goin' there!

LOL, Jean - that's one of those very weird GE map names! On old USGS maps there's a village by that name a mile or so away, but no 'Line Brook' even shows up on them. This is the Ipswich River, and I think its in the town of Ipswich here.

However one of those little hidden things in the photo: there's a line hanging down from one of those trees hanging over the river, and some boards nailed to the tree for steps up to grab the line and swing out over the river. So I guess Line Brook is right!

It's a deal, steve ! you keep getting those great sunrise shots, and I'll make it my responsibility to get the fall colors :) (of course, then the shots will grind to a screeching halt as we arrive in gray and dreary November when you steal our sun. Though I got my biggest prize last November - so maybe there will be life after fall color!
